PET GRIEF COUNSELING - 60 MIN
The death of a beloved animal companion is deeply and profoundly life changing and one of the most difficult losses we will ever experience.
Animals love us unconditionally and in return, we experience the most beautiful, pure, loving parts of ourselves through this love. We have allowed ourselves to be vulnerable. And when they are gone we are left to navigate a life without the most trusted and intimate - and sometimes the most significant relationship of our lives.
I have experience in sudden catastrophic loss of an animal companion as well as long term illness and having to “put to sleep” my animals.
If you are facing having to make a decision about letting an animal go humanely, I can walk you through the process to find peace with what only can ever be your decision.
If you need support after the loss of your pet and are grieving life without them, I can provide you with insight and perspective to help soothe your broken heart.
Grief Poem
Contributed by Chaplin Robert Orr - Kindred Hospice
“Grief is the last act of love we give to our loved one.
Where there is deep grief there is great love. Grief is a great rite of passage, it is a hero’s journey of courage, of sacred battles, sorrow, love, joy and loss.
Through the darkness of grief we can see the light of love which transcends death. And with the pain can come gratitude for the gift of time we had, the love that was shared and the power to become a better person because they loved us.”
